Laines was founded by Esther Juon
and opened its doors to the public in 1985. Dance Laines is situated in
the Brighton North Laine area, close to Brighton Station. The Ballet School specialises in classical ballet classes at all levels and all ages. Esther Juon is an associate member of British Ballet Organization. The Children's School runs on Saturday mornings and in the afternoons during the week. In the evenings Dance Laines offers two Adult Ballet classes per day. The classes are structured and graded and the courses on offer range from complete beginners to advanced levels. Dance Laines is a member of the British Ballet Organization. The school is examined by an external examiner from the British Ballet Organization once or twice a year. Exams are offered to the youngest to the oldest pupils. The Pointe Shoe Centre specialises in the correct fitting of pointe shoes and gives advice and exercises to prevent feet from getting injured. Lectures are offered to schools, colleges, companies and ballet shops. |
